The Henderson Democratic Club’s board consists of elected officials dedicated to serving the club and advancing its best interests. The board is committed to maintaining stability, ensuring accountability, and collectively representing the interests of its members.

Adam Price
Chair
Adam Price began his political career in 2010 by founding California’s largest public-school gay-straight alliance across multiple schools in Redlands. He contributed to the passage of two state senate bills—SB48 (the FAIR Education Act) and the Gender Affirming Bathroom Act—collaborating with organizations like GSA Network, ACLU, and the Trevor Project. In 2024, Adam re-entered politics to support the Harris Walz Campaign and continues to advocate for Henderson and Nevada.

Karen Parness
Treasurer
Karen was born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and moved to Henderson, Nevada, in December 2013. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and master’s degree at Penn State University. Karen was active in her union and served as union president for two years. After relocating to Henderson, she became involved in volunteer activities, serving as president of her HOA at Terra Bella at Anthem, president of the Anthem Council, and currently holds positions as treasurer on both the Terra Bella HOA board and the Henderson Democrats. Throughout her life, Karen has been affiliated with the Democratic Party and remains committed to fulfilling her current responsibilities.

Kema Ogden
Member at large
Kema Ogden is a respected business owner, nonprofit leader, and health advocate with over 20 years of experience empowering communities across Southern Nevada. A Las Vegas resident for over 40 years and Henderson resident for more than 25, Kema brings a deep-rooted commitment to the region she proudly calls home.
As Co-Founder and Executive Director of The Ogden Family Foundation, she has led impactful programs supporting at-risk youth and families through education, health services, and athletic mentoring. Kema was appointed by former Governor Steve Sisolak to serve on the Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board Advisory Commission’s Subcommittee for Social Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. She has also served on the boards of the National Small Business Association Leadership Council and Doctors for Drug Policy Reform (D4DPR). Most recently, she was appointed to the Board of the Urban Chamber of Commerce. A proud graduate of Emerge Nevada’s Class of 2025, Kema brings strategic vision, lived experience, and a deep passion for community engagement to her role with the Henderson Democratic Club.
